This past weekend we crossed $50,000 in our <\/span>WeFunder campaign<\/span><\/a><\/span>! If you\u2019re not familiar with WeFunder, they\u2019re basically the \u201cKickstarter of investing.\u201d For as little as $100, people can invest in startups they love & own equity. <\/span><\/p>\n

HotelsByDay crossing the $50k mark is big news for three reasons: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1. We’re just about halfway to our campaign goal<\/strong> of $107,000.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2. While $50k, or $107k, may not seem like an astronomical amount in an age of overfunded startups, it\u2019s what our lean mean hospitality providing machine needs<\/strong> to invest in better tech, improve our mobile app, build a loyalty program and continue to grow in cities around the globe.<\/p>\n

3. Most importantly, this crowdfunding campaign has granted us an amazing opportunity to connect with our audience!<\/strong> Our guests and partner hoteliers have stepped up with investments, social shares, and support from all angles to make this campaign succeed.<\/p>\n

To say we\u2019re feeling a lot of love from our community is an understatement<\/span>. <\/b>To-date, over 100 people have invested, in amounts from a hundred to a few thousand dollars! It\u2019s truly humbling and a reminder of why we\u2019ve chosen to stay away from venture-capital cash and grow this thing at the grassroots level.<\/span><\/p>\n
