The Hotel at Fifth Avenue is on 32nd Street, between Broadway and Fifth Avenue and just two blocks from the Empire State Building. Day visitors are within walking distance of Madison Square Garden, and a plethora of top notch Korean restaurants, plus there’s Central Park, the Statue of Liberty and all the attractions of Manhattan to enjoy.
Range of Restaurants – There’s a bevy of great Korean restaurants in the vicinity, so if Korean cuisine tickles your fancy you’ve plenty of options. There’s upscale dishes and panoramic 39th floor views at Gaonnuri, and barbecued delights at Samwon Garden Korean BBQ, plus handmade dumplings at Mandoo Bar. If you prefer French fare then try classic dishes at the Petit Poulet bistro, whilst fans of Japanese style can choose between Konbini and Hana Michi.
Madison Square Garden – Madison Square Garden is the home of both the Knicks and the Rangers, so basketball and hockey fans might find themselves able to watch top class sport up close. Other regularly hosted events include boxing bouts and concerts, so there’s a great selection of shows for those into live performances. And if you prefer things a bit more scripted, there’s a huge range of Broadway theaters close at hand.
Statue of Liberty – To the southwest of Manhattan is Ellis Island, home to perhaps the most famous lady in the United States: the Statue of Liberty. She’s welcomed visitors to NYC and the USA for over a century, and there’s a guided tour and museum for modern day guests.
- Central Park – Central Park has something for just about everyone, from penguins at the little zoo, to a world class art collection exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Dinosaurs and more can be found at the American Museum of Natural History, and you can relax for a bite to eat at the lakeside Loeb Boathouse.
