Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial- The Veteran Memorial is a beautiful remembrance wall, accompanied by paver named for Heroes lost. There are scenes engraved in the marble for each war, and the names of our fallen engraved on the back. It is a great place to relax, remember, and pray.

The Plummer Building - Mayo Clinic Historical Suite- Although the mayo clinic campus is a stunning cooperative of magnificent buildings, one building stands alone in architectural and historical importance. The Plummer building is museum quality in every respect. From the beautiful bronze doors, to the inlaid, colored marble floors, there is no detail left untouched in this historic building of cultural and medical importance. The 3rd floor houses restored medical suites and examining rooms exactly as they were when the building was operational as a clinic. The 12th floor library is beyond comprehensive, and it boasts a ceiling embellished with hand painted designs as well as names of medical pioneers, such as Madame Curie and the Mayo brothers. Whether you are here in business, visiting the clinic for medical reasons, or just touring Rochester, this building is a must see!

Douglas Trail- The Douglas State Trail is a 12.5 mile paved trail that runs from northern Rochester to Pine Island, Minnesota. The trail was built on an old rail bed and is a flat and easy biking trail. This trail goes through the small town of Douglas and the trail gets its name from this place. There is also an unpaved horse trail that runs next to the paved trail but it seemed overgrown and unused.
