In the local area there’s a lot to see and do, from the shops and eateries of Fifth Avenue, to snorkeling at Cenote Chaak Tun, or enjoying the sculptures and Mayan dancing of Los Fundadores Park, plus the beach is just a few steps away.
Diverse Dining – Nothing’s more convenient than dining on-site, but there are plenty of options in the local area if you're out and about. The nearby Ictio Fish House serves up a wide variety of seafood, as well as wine and beer, whilst Caribbean cuisine is on the menu at Rockas Jamaican Kitchen. Vegetarians and vegans can satisfy their diets at The Pitted Date Vegan Restaurant, Bakery and Café, and if you’re hungry for Venezuelan then pay Kaxapa Factory a visit.
Swimming and Snorkeling – Xcaret Park is a short distance southwest of the day rooms. This waterfront eco-archaeological park is ideal for those with an adventurous side and offers activities such as snorkeling and cave exploration. Head northwest instead and you’ll encounter Cenote Chaak Tun, where low-lit caverns with natural pools and stalactites await exploration via swimming and snorkeling.
Fifth Avenue – Right on the hotel doorstep is Fifth Avenue, the perfect promenade to experience the atmosphere of Playa del Carmen. From idiosyncratic boutique shops to malls, dining establishments to coffee shops, it’s just the place for soaking in local authenticity.
Los Fundadores Park – Speaking of local culture, the nearby Los Fundadores Park is a seaside park featuring sculptures and hosting traditional Mayan dance performances. It’s also great for kids, as it features a playground, and the beach lies just beyond the enormous bronze statue Portal Maya.
