Dining Options – When you’re at the hotel there’s on-site dining at the Elements Restaurant, but if you’re out and about there’s plenty of choice when it comes to food. Closest to the hotel is Toby Carvery Kenton Bank, where roast meat is carved as you like. Rustic style Italian dishes can be had at Luciano’s Italian Restaurant, with pasta, pizza, and more on offer. Fans of Indian food have a choice, from Rumana Indian Cuisine to the south whilst to the east there’s King Faisal Indian Cuisine.
Golf – Golfers have a range of courses from which to choose, including Westerhope Golf Course, Newcastle United Golf Club, and the City of Newcastle Golf Club, making the most pressing problem deciding where to play.
Newcastle Castle – Newcastle Castle dates back to the 12th century and was the original reason behind the city’s name. The Black Gate, a fortified gatehouse, and the main tower have stood the test of time, and today present day visitors with views of the centre of Newcastle and the River Tyne, and is conveniently close to both shops and restaurants.
Marvellous Museums – The Discovery Museum is dedicated to local maritime history, allowing visitors to partake in interactive science and history displays. Nearby is the Life Science Centre, a science village featuring a planetarium, 4D motion ride, and more. Further north is the Great North Museum: Hancock, a refurbished Victorian museum with exhibits on natural history and Hadrian’s Wall (and its own planetarium).
