Hampton Inn & Suites Los Angeles/Hollywood is located ideally for day guests, within walking distance of great restaurants and numerous star-studded attractions from the Hollywood Walk of Fame to the Griffith Observatory.
Global Dishes – Within a short walk of the hotel is Barkada, where patrons can indulge themselves with Filipino-style tapas and cocktails, and Cactus Taquerias #1, where taco-lovers can have their food prepared just as they like it. Custom Japanese noodle soups are available at Tatsu Ramen, and if you prefer sushi there’s UMEDA. Other dining options in the area include seafood, French, Italian, Salvadoran, and more.
Silver Screen Heaven – Starry-eyed silver screen fans are a short distance from the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, a great spot for souvenir snaps. To the north there’s Access Hollywood Tours, whilst to the south there’s Paramount Pictures Studio Tour. And, of course, there’s the famous Hollywood sign, plus numerous opulent cinemas and live performances at local theaters.
Griffith Observatory – The Griffith Observatory offers stunning views of both the cityscape and the skies above. It’s a classic art deco building dating back to the 1930s, and comes furnished with both public telescopes and a top notch planetarium.
La Brea Tar Pits – The La Brea Tar Pits and Museum are a unique attraction, an Ice Age site of archaeology where ancient beasts long extinct were trapped and preserved in the tar. Day visitors can stroll around the adjacent museum, wander the recreation of a prehistoric garden, or admire the fossilized remains (including those of saber-toothed cats, ground sloths, and mammoths).
