We booked an Oceanview suite and when we got there they gave us the smallest room I've ever seen... It was filthy and the view looked out at an exterior wall. The elevator frequently took 30 minutes or more to catch a ride. I asked the front desk why we were getting such a small room with no view even though we paid extra for the suite. He told me that I had the room I booked...I showed him my confirmation email and then he started acting like he couldn't understand me. So we were stuck all day in a room that was literally worse than some prisoners are in. I wish there was a way to show how awful the room actually was! Forgot to mention that the check-in desk had the audacity to try and charge me an extra $50 for early check-in even though I was there 30 minutes after the check-in time! Stay away from here!

Hotel never replies. Problem with 1 lift broken and reviews claim the other is often broken. Asked for a low floor as we had 3 large suitcases - they gave us 10th floor. Lift took a very long time to arrive. When we got to our room we discovered they also charge a $20 Resort Fee (we specifically chose them because there wasn't one in their advert). We had lunch in their Restaurant - to find they added a 2% service fee and auto 20% gratuity - and when we paid our server was VERY slow to bring our $13 change So, I now have to challenge that $20 resort fee via our bank. PLEASE stay somewhere else, these people don't deserve the business

I had a client come into Miami on a cruise Ship, and this was a perfect opportunity for them to rest at a hotel before getting their flight that night. My only issue? My client arrived with a printed copy of the confirm Letter - and they had no record of the booking. A little frustrating and embarrassing, so I had my client pass his phone over to the reception team and I asked them to make another booking for me. Thankfully there was still a room available. I'm not sure what more I could do - but at least the client was eventually happy with his stay.

Our room was not ready when it was suppose to be (900- had til wait til 1000 and I had to go and check to see if the room was ready) One elevator seemed to work . Thankfully we were only on the 3rd floor and had to carry our luggage down to leave . The front desk seemed annoyed that I was there for a day room

The hotel did not have our reservation so we had to wait about an hour to figure out rebooking. The room was dirty. The bed had an huge divot in the center. Our key cards stopped working a couple times. And there was no pool

The overall stay at YVE was not great. They didn’t have a king available (which I booked)...

The overall stay at YVE was not great. They didn’t have a king available (which I booked), the bed sheets on one of the beds had black stains, and they only had 1 working elevator. We had to wait 10 minutes in the lobby before we could get the elevator to our floor. Then when we were leaving we had to wait 20 minutes for an elevator down. We were on the 14th floor with 2 big suitcases and 2 smaller suitcases. My husband ended up taking the stairs with one suitcase to try and meet our ride to the airport. What made it worse was that the person operating the elevator would put it into (out-of-service) mode, so the elevator had no idea where people were waiting. My husband and I just got off a cruise and our flight wasn’t until later, we hoped a day-stay hotel would be nicer than camping out at the airport. But after this experience, we are not so sure.
