Hotel Description

Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown is a great place for visitors to Philly to find hourly rooms. Guests can avail themselves of the fitness center and free Wi-Fi, and in the vicinity there are fantastic restaurants, and museums, plus unique historical sites including Independence Hall.

  • Range of Restaurants – Elevated dining in both the culinary and literal sense are found at R2L Restaurant, a refined 37th floor restaurant commanding great views and offering a menu of New American fare. French cuisine is served up at chic bistro Parc, whilst top class steakhouse Barclay Prime sates the appetite of those who want meat on the menu. Kosher dishes and a retro feel are combined at Abe Fisher, whilst Vetri Cucina’s intimate surroundings and dishes are sure to satisfy those who have a hunger for Italian.

  • Academy of Natural Sciences – Walk west from the day rooms to find the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, a natural history museum filled with exhibits from dinosaur bones to a butterfly house. There’s also a great mythical creatures section, dioramas, and some interactive, hands-on exhibits.

  • Citizens Bank Park – Head south and you’ll find Citizens Bank Park, home of the MLB’s Phillies. If you’re lucky you’ll be able to catch some top flight major league sport, but even if the Phillies aren’t playing the stadium may well host other events, particularly concerts.

  • Independence Hall and Liberty Bell – Independence Hall is close to the hotel, and one of the most historically significant buildings in the country. The location of the Declaration of Independence’s signing, and the creation of the US Constitution, this Georgian hall oozes heritage. Adjacent to it is Liberty Bell, the heavyweight symbol of American freedom which was last rung in 1846 and is engraved with holy text.
