The Marina Inn on San Francisco Bay is located close enough for day visitors to pop into San Francisco, enjoy the big city attractions, and return to a scenic retreat later. Near to the hotel itself there’s a diverse range of restaurants, more golf courses than you can shake a stick at, and a waterfront park.
Manifold Menus – Seafood fans barely need to stretch their legs to reach Horatio’s, which is just a few steps from the hotel door on the waterfront. Nearby, there’s a combination of Thai and Chinese cuisine at Mai Thai, and Vietnamese at Tu Tai. If you consider Mexican to be the spice of life, there is a choice of dining options, including La Piñata, La Carreta Taqueria, and Marina Restaurant.
Golf Aplenty – Light exercise and pleasant walks amidst beautiful courses could not be more convenient, with not one but two golf courses within walking distance (Marina Golf Course, and Monarch Bay Golf Club). With longer walks or short drives, there are a dozen or so courses in the vicinity from which to pick, so your main problem will be deciding where to play.
Oyster Bay – The Oyster Bay Regional Shoreline Staging Area is a waterfront park rife with birdwatching opportunities and a trail for walkers. There are picnic spots and beautiful vistas; it’s a nice place for people to unwind (especially those traveling with four-legged friends).
San Francisco – Not far away is San Francisco, where world famous attractions including Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Palace of Fine Arts await. And once you’re done you can retire to the peaceful retreat of the hotel.
