Sonesta Select Boston Foxborough Mansfield

I had one of the worst hotel booking experiences I’ve ever had. I booked a day stay through HotelByDay for July 18 at Sonesta Select Boston Foxborough Mansfield. I drove more than three hours to the hotel, only to be told upon arrival that there were no rooms available. After spending that much time on the road, it was incredibly frustrating and embarrassing to find out my confirmed reservation could not be honored. What made the experience even more disappointing was that no one contacted me beforehand to let me know there was an issue with my reservation. A simple phone call or email would have saved me hours of driving, gas, and unnecessary inconvenience. When I asked why I hadn’t been notified, the front desk clerk was cold, dismissive, and offered no meaningful assistance or solution. There was no empathy for the situation or attempt to make things right. A confirmed reservation should mean that a room is available when you arrive. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Based on how this situation was handled, I cannot recommend booking through HotelByDay or staying at Sonesta Select Boston Foxborough Mansfield without confirming directly with the hotel beforehand.
