Place was great but lack of communication from the front desk to housekeeping. Two instances of housekeeping knocking even going in to our room to let us know of check out. We are scheduled from 10am-5pm but a staff knock at 12noon and the other one entered at 3pm to let us know to check out. So disapponting

This place has potential but needs maintenance. The indoor courtyard with the pool is a unique feature, but it seems underused due to maintenance issues. The conference rooms come in various sizes, from accommodating small groups like ours to larger spaces.

Hotel front desk had trouble locating my reservation, which had not automatically been input in its reservation system. Once this was resolved, I checked-in and accessed the room I had booked via hotelsbyday.com. This was a good result because at first the front desk had said “we are sold out” and made no room available. This friction in the transaction was disconcerting and represents an area that could be improved.

Room was a lot larger than expected, so that was definitely a bonus. Hotel seemed a little older, but we were at the end of our trip and just needed a place to wait that was more comfortable than the airport, so we weren't too concerned about amenities, etc. Could use a wider selection for snacks, etc. if they are doing layover stays because there weren't really many food options in the area, so we were kind of stuck with what they had at their little shop. Shuttle driver (Emilio, I thnk?) was absolutely fantastic. Very kind and upbeat.

I’ve used Dayrooms several times for chicks who I didn’t want to take home but wanted some alone time with. Best thing ever. Perfect for handling business for a few hours in a nice hotel. It’s a game changer. Really convenient and affordable. Highly recommend.

This hotel is a gem! From the welcoming staff to the beautiful decor not to mention the amenities! Strawberry Moon had a perfect post-cruise brunch and the acai bowl is a crave-able concoction for sure! This hotel will be a must stay in the future. I’m sad we were only here to rest during a layover!

We had a horrible flight and weren’t planning on getting a hotel. We felt awful gettting off the flight and within 15 mins were on our way to a hit or breakfast served by very pleasant staff and didn’t even half to leave the building to get to our room. We were greeted by housekeepers on our way to our room who were super kind. The room was wonderful and we were able to recover from our bad flight. It turned my whole day around and I was so so grateful for the kindness of everyone at the Holiday Inn after our long trip. A great last stop before our final flight to get home. It was a smooth check in and check out and really saved us.

We booked an Oceanview suite and when we got there they gave us the smallest room I've ever seen... It was filthy and the view looked out at an exterior wall. The elevator frequently took 30 minutes or more to catch a ride. I asked the front desk why we were getting such a small room with no view even though we paid extra for the suite. He told me that I had the room I booked...I showed him my confirmation email and then he started acting like he couldn't understand me. So we were stuck all day in a room that was literally worse than some prisoners are in. I wish there was a way to show how awful the room actually was! Forgot to mention that the check-in desk had the audacity to try and charge me an extra $50 for early check-in even though I was there 30 minutes after the check-in time! Stay away from here!

I was going to leave 1 star because of the initial front desk person who had no clue what HotelsByDay was and said they do accept check ins until 3 p.m. When I showed him my confirmation & explained for the 3rd time that we had a day reservation, he said to sit and wait. We went to the "coffee shop" to have breakfast, paid $15 each and were met with empty food containers, stale croissants and an empty Coffee Mate container (no other options). I asked if this was what we paid over $30 for (incl tax)?! Finally the ladies in this area went in the back and bought out eggs, potatoes and what looked like little hot dogs. At this point, we were ready to cancel and leave the hotel but the front desk rep (different person) found us a room and let us check in "early" (we had a CONFIRMATION for 8 a.m. and were told they had no rooms, then they found a room and she was going to let us check in early even though she wasn't supposed to do that - it was past 8:15 a.m. at this point. Price I was charged was also a couple of dollars more than what the site had.) At this point I just wanted a room with a shower and a bed. I have used other hotels on this site and never had these issues.

Excellent hotel. Only gave a 4 because when I arrived they did not have my reservation. Would actually give 4.5 because reservation was made overnight and last minute. Called the number on the confirmation email that literally said “hotel can’t find your reservation call…”. Rep answered resent reservation and I was good. I was very skeptical but wanted to try because I always wondered if this was an option. It turned out to be a great experience and the hotel manager was very helpful. The price point was excellent for the hotel I had and it was a beautiful hotel at that. I actually booked on another site first for a different hotel and it was a no where near the level of this hotel as well as with this booking I got 2 hours more than the other and it ended up being $5 less. Will use again.

For those of you who were attracted by the cheap price(around $42), please be advised this is the price for the pool pass ONLY. It does NOT offer a room for you to stay in the daytime. As a traveler who is not quite familiar with Florida, it is easily to be confused. So if you are looking for a hotel to stay during your daytime while waiting for your cruise line or flight, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE double check with front desk what you are booking for.

The Nautilus Hotel is beautiful and has a very nice beach area. However, their customer service was terrible. When I arrived at 11 (for an 11 check-in), a lady working the desk rudely interrupted the man checking us in and said there were no day rooms and I could have a refund if I’d like, with no explanation, no apology, and no other options. When I told her that I booked (and paid for) this room well in advance as my flight was not until nighttime she said there was nothing she could do as housekeeping said there are no rooms and she walked away. I continued to explain that we had nowhere else to go and already paid for a room. Eventually a manager came over and assigned us a different room, again with no apologies, cutting into our only 6 hour stay with them. The second elevator was broken so there were long lines for the only working elevator at all times to get to and from your room. When we went to the beach to use the loungers (reservation said all hotel amenities included), they had no record of us at the hotel and it took even more of our time to convince them to allow us to use the loungers. The beach loungers did not include the umbrella which was unfortunate as the other hotels we stayed at nearby included both. And to end our stay on a sour note, when we went back to our room to shower and change (one hour before our check-out time), the keys no longer worked and it took two employees to get us back into our room with the only explanation being “we were supposed to check out that morning” although we only checked in that morning and check-out wasn’t until 5 p.m. Again, not one apology for so much of our trip being wasted. The only reason for two stars is that the hotel was very nice, the management not so much.

Used room to refresh after leaving cruise ship and before an overnight flight back to the UK. Hotel room was clean and spacious and enough local amenities / restaurants for a day’s stay without a car. Only downside was we selected 10am-4pm and room wasn’t available until 10:40am

Used to refresh from overnight long haul flight and late afternoon flight connection. Rooms perfectly appointed and reception let us check in early. The Pos connection to T5 very convenient and free. Only negative is no lift, so if you have difficulty with stairs and carrying luggage may be an inssue. Would use again

It's a joke, they don't answer calls or messages and when you arrive they tell you that they are not available for Hotelbydays. They are very unserious and they dont care about making you waste your time. Then you also have to wait another half hour for them to bring your car from the parking lot!

The option for a Day Use room was so incredibly needed to decompress from daily life. However, the gym and pool rooms weren't well maintained. The hotel room wasnt dirty but could have used some minor repairs. I also wasn't made aware that the water was going to be shut off in my room for about an hour that afternoon until I called the Front Desk to inquire.

I thought the hallways were really dirty and in need of cleaning . Day room was fine BUT there were no chairs . There were small folding stools. Most people use day rooms to work from , this was nearly impossible .

I had a good experience at this Holiday Inn. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the nearby restaurant was delicious. My only issue was that the bathroom could be larger. Otherwise, my stay was very enjoyable.

This was perfect for a 14 hour wait in between getting off a cruise and getting on a very late flight. I had no idea this was even an option. Will be using again in the future if it is needed. Convenient location to the airport. Also has a shuttle if it is needed.

The entire hotel is super clean and nice from moment you walk in! I was impressed! We rested as we waited for our flight after our cruise. The beds were comfortable and neat! The bathroom was surprisingly big. Overall exceeded expectations for a day pass! Told my son we will be booking Fairfield Inns moving forward and hope they are all this great!

Positives: Great size room, comfy bed, and fantastic amenities on site (Sauna ,pool, spa services) Negatives: The fridge in the room did not work. Apparently, all the fridges in the whole hotel were undergoing maintenance so the receptionist asked us to bring down our item so they can put it in the fridge at the ground floor and give us a tag.... Don't expect this from a 4 start hotel. There was a bit of a delay checking in as the receptionist could not see that we had paid beforehand and was requesting payment. We didn't get a full window and the view from our room was mediocre facing offices.

Well they didn’t even have a room for us so not good. Two of families we were with got one but they oversold. Also we were supposed to Be able to check in at 10am and wasn’t able to get in room until 11:30. Hotel in good location. Way understaffed.

Went here for a break between two flight. Very nice. Room is big. Beds are comfortable. There is a shuttle from and to the airport. Nice team, but slow. Would recommend.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! I liked the water dispensers and bottles provided. It was convenient to have food available and staff at the front desk were always helpful. The only suggestion I have is to adjust the door hinges to be quieter.

I had a great experience using this website to book a hotel for a few hours at the last minute. I had to fly into NYC for a business trip and found out that my hotel room wouldn't be ready until 3 hours after I arrived a few days beforehand. I just needed a place to rest, shower, and change after I landed since I had early afternoon meetings to attend that day. I booked a day room through hotelsbyday.com and paid upfront to make sure the room was guranteed. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out and was able to stay on schedule.

arrived to find out that they required a $150 security deposit that i was told was “in the fine print” and would also take days to come back on my card which i did not have an extra $150 to wait for days to get back so was unable to use my room. if you are going to have a security deposit you should make it known before booking not “in the fine print”

Had a truly fantastic time at the Royal Sonesta, the check in staff knew me by name immediately (I was very impressed by this as some other hotels have no idea what I was actually doing with a ‘day use’ booking). We were swiftly checked in and in the room moments later. We had had a long journey and had 5 hrs before joining our cruise and so this was perfect for what we needed. The cost (per hour) isn’t cheap but I can’t put a price on being able to relax, lay down in a comfy bed, rest and shower before heading out again. Would recommend anyone to stay here - was genuinely impressed from check in to check out. Thank you!

When I arrived, on time, I was informed that no rooms were available, even with a reservation! My name and number was taken. I was called 2 hours later but I'd secured alternative accommodations. This is BAD BUSINESS! I will not use this service again. I will also share my experience with colleagues and family/friends. Unacceptable!!

This was a great spot for a 10 hour gap between getting off a cruise and our flight home! Comfortable room, nice pool and even a little restaurant on site. The only thing to consider is the airplanes taking off pretty much right over the hotel.

The hotel was supposed to include facilities (gym and Swimming pool). However, we were stopped and told we couldn’t use it. We were treated like 2nd class citizens as day room use guests. We have used day use rooms many times n many hotels but this was an awful experience.

At the front desk for close to an hour with only one guest in front of me because the man doing the job did not know what he was doing. He repeatedly apologized for his newness and lack of knowledge. Also said there was no one there to help him and even tried calling for help. Worst experience, of although he kept his cool in spite it all.

The only complaint was after waiting 15-20 minutes for a shuttle at the airport, one finally came but the driver passed us at the airport pickup even though I waved him. We finally had to call the hotel and waited another 45 minutes before they came back. Frequent shuttle pick up stops would have been more convenience.

One thousand percent would recommend the day pass! The staff was welcoming and attentive and the property is beautiful and clean. The lack of actual changing rooms is my only complaint but wouldn’t take a star away as everything else was perfect. I had to change in the bathroom. Not possible to “freshen up” appropriately before my flight. Despite that, I would still go back over and over!

We chose this hotel because the pool was heated and it had a hot tub. Neither were warm enough to enjoy and the pool is on the highway side so it’s not peaceful. All our relaxing by and in the pool plans weren’t possible. It was disappointing to pay so much to not get the thing we booked the hotel for. The room was fine.

I had expected better from this hotel but there were so many hiccups during our stay. First, they assigned us to a room that was dirty and not cleaned. So we had to go down and get our room switched. Secondly, we went to lunch at the restaurant, and when we came back up to the restaurant, our key card was no longer working because it had reset itself. Thirdly, our check-out time is 5PM and the booking reflects this, but when 4:30PM rolled around, housekeeping staff knocked on our door and asked when we're checking out and if we were extending our stay; it was so disruptive and annoying. Lastly, I had paid in full for this stay on HotelsbyDay, but the person checking me in charged an almost $400 charge on my credit card without explaining to me what the charge is for. I was unaware of this until I saw my credit card statement. I was then later told that she incorrectly charged me for the room, not seeing that it was already paid in full. Overall, this hotel fell below expectations and I was so disappointed.

Everything was very nice with one very big exception. The concierge/receptionist that checked us out on 3/3/24 around 2:45 pm was a big disappointment. The young lady did not ever look up from her screen to great us, she did not look up while talking to us nor did she look up when we asked where the rest rooms were, she waved her hand in the general direction without looking up AGAIN. There was no lack of service, she just made us feel as if we were annoying and interrupting her. There wasn’t another person, employee or guest to be seen anywhere in the beautiful lobby for her to feel rushed or hurried. After such a nice experience in a very nice room, the receptionist unfortunately was a total turn off to ever return.

10/10 would recommend!! We had a long wait before our flight left after a cruise day and this was the absolute PERFECT place for us. We called Hotels By Day, who apologized, and booked us into this hotel. BUT, the price for this room was higher and they refused to honor the payment we’d already made. We won’t be using this service ever again.

The room was clean and spacious. But while I was napping, drilling and hammering started. It sounded so loud like it was next door. I called the front desk to complain about the noise and was told that the noise will continue for an hour and that was it. Litterally lasted more than an hour. I complained about how loud it was but no accommodations were made. It is the only reason why I give it a 3 star. Paying 160 for a day use and barely got worth my money

I had to get my room changed 3x due to cleanliness issues, as well as pluming issues. The lady checking me in seemed to be in a pretty bad mood. My first room was pretty nice although it was not cleaned, I let the front desk know and the woman who checked me in changed my room, however it was so much smaller and smelled so much like mold. I went to remove my shoes and the carpet was all wet. I called The front desk and they transferred me to a different room which ultimately ended up being a double bed which I did Not ask for however I was tired and did not want to cause anymore stress on myself. I will Not be returning to this place.

Motel wouldn’t honor my booking despite me having a confirmation number. Had to pay the full walk in rate. The place is essentially a motel and I suspect a hook up motel given the mirrors on the ceiling and neon flighting. If you’re looking for a place to sleep for a few hours because your loved one is at Montefiore hospital (why we were there) I don’t recommend this place!

The staff and venue were not very accommodating, with our flight arriving early (5.30am) and the hotel not allowing us to check in until 9am, as per original booking time. I understand the booked time is 9am, however in every other country we have visited, early checkins have been allowed if the room was free, without having to pay extra. This is just common decency - the room isn't being used anyway. The lobby has nothing there really, so not much to wait in. They also don't have anywhere to safely secure your baggage until you can check in. Talking with the gentleman at reception, he discussed options about paying extra to check in early, however would only charge per hour, so if it was 30 mins early, he would charge an hour. Apparently this is to avoid argument, although this seemed to only create one He then continued to say because it benefits the hotel. Clearly this place is only trying to benefit themselves and have no customer service. Would not recommend, nor stay here again.

Very vibey and laid back, clean and stylish. We had a lengthy time between our cruise end and flight home... Would definitely do this again rather than spend the day at the airport! Hotel in Baltimore was easy to find and near where I needed to be. Service team was great, bed was completely comfortable, but the shower never got hot. I was on the 4th floor, and it's an older bank, so I suspect it's just a long run to the boiler. Will just ask for a lower floor next time.

Hotel is in desperate need of an update, it’s very tired & tatty. So much noise from corridor and surrounding rooms, hardly a relaxing stay. Counter staff disinterested to the point of rudeness. But it’s so close to the airport terminal…!

I searched thru many hotels and thought this one would be nice for me and my 2 girls, they love vintage. Got to the hotel and they say I did not pay which I did and they made me pay again. To avoid wasting the only few hours I paid again. Then it’s a pool party when we arrive and it’s “18+” so while in Miami we sat in a room from 10-6pm

Booked a day use so I could take a nap after a red eye. Check in took forever because front desk people were training and said they couldn't find the reservation but after 20mins or so, they did? Additionally, they charged an $18 resort for a room that was used for less than 5 hours. Elevator is slow and place is dated, smells like a motel. Will never book this place ever again.

All interactions with hotel employees during my time there was top notch (and I stay at a lot of hotels)! We booked this room for the day after a cruise, to have somewhere to rest and eat before our evening flight. The restaurant was not open until the evening, the pool was dirty and the airport shuttle was getting cleaned at 4:00 pm and wouldn’t be running at that time. No one bothered to tell us, DESPITE letting them know we were waiting on the shuttle when we checked out at 3:45. Finally at 4:15 pm we inquired and were told to walk to the hotel next door. We finally just ordered an Uber. Much nicer hotels nearby for the same amount of money with better amenities. Unfortunately would not stay here again.

There is no note on the site saying their airport shuttle stops between 9AM-5PM. Had to take Uber from SFO, was not happy. Otherwise, room was clean, staff was helpful.

Thistle Kensington Gardens. Asked for a spacious room ended up with a tiny room. Asked for a view of the gardens and was given view of flats. Room 514. These requests were made at time of booking so they could have easily assigned a decent room. Toilet seat was old and seat was stained. Sent me on the 5th floor 514 and couldn’t be bothered to come back down to change room since very tired. Receptionist took a while to check us in and clearly didn’t have knowledge of room types. Not worth £80 for the day.

The hotel staff are welcoming and helpful, but the hotel room is a bit outdated. The drain in the shower room is clogged, making it take forever to drain the water. Since I only used it for a few hours, I didn't bother to change rooms because of that. Also, there is no drinking water or slippers in the room. The bed is very small, but the firmness is okay and comfortable.

I made a reservation to stay at Econolodge in Times Square when I arrived there im met by a big sign saying not open to the public. I went inside to ask and the staff rudely pushed me off. Told me to read the sign and that they’re no longer a hotel in a nasty attitude. If they’re no longer a hotel why are they available for booking on the website? Had to remake a whole other booking at a completely different location last minute. Luckily at the new location everyone was welcoming and nice

Very disappointed. There for our anniversary away from our everyday lives and the construction was horrible. We couldn't even hear the TV because of all the drilling and banging. Check-in took a bit because apparently they didn't have the room I booked available. Will not be back.

There was a strong odor of old dirty bleach mop water in the room and the staff did not seem prepared for our stay. We specifically requested the time selected as we had just came off of a cruise and needed a room until our flight later that evening. Upon check-in they did not have our room prepared, and furthermore we ended up having to visit a local store to purchase cleaning supplies and air freshener to make the room more comfortable for us.

I thought the room was exellent for day-use. We needed the room for a late evening departure from Spain to home; the Airbnb we were staying would not allow us to stay longer (late check-out) and we did not want to put all our luggage into a day locker. The hotel was a great chance to relax before departure. The room itself was really nice having a great bed, great wash room facilities, and overal very welcoming. I wish the day-use concept extended to hotels in the city proper itself as it would have given us opportunity to continue to see Madrid. Other issue was it was tough to come by meals as breakfast ended at 10:30, and lunch ended at 3pm. Staff were accomodating and allowed us to eat outside of restaurant hours.

Everything was super easy and made my 10 hour stop at LAX bearable!! I was a little bit nervous approaching the check in counter but everything went smoothly. I give a 3.5 star review. The hotel was great. I needed it because of a layover. I paid for the hotel through this site. When I got to the hotel to check in, there was confusion because the hotel said they should not be live on the site. It made me feel uncomfortable because of that disconnect.

This resort was truly amazing and exceeded our expectations. The room was immaculate, with a large rainfall shower and spacious balcony. The swell pool, hot tub and lounge were absolutely beautiful. The location was directly across the street from the ocean and every kind of shop and restaurant was within a short walking distance. We want to return here for a week-long stay in the future. I have used many day rooms but this was by far the worst. Upon first entry everything looked nice and the staff was friendly, but after a few moments taking a work call the noise in this room sounded like there was heavy construction next door. After my work calls, I tried to sleep for some hours before my flight but the noise continued and got way worse — I called reception to find out what was happening, the bed would shake whenever the drill was on. They told me my room was above their car park, so they cannot help. It was horrific, I couldn’t manage to rest and would have anxiety whenever the noise started (every 10 mins or so it was running like crazy for 5 or so mins)

Very convenient to Paddington station. The staff are very friendly and checkin process efficient. The room was amazingly small. Double bed was against one wall, just space to walk around the bed, a desk e in a little nock. The bathroom was very nice, but very small. The shower waa good. The hotel was perfect. Close to the airport, free shuttle, friendly, helpful staff. Welcomed us there as though we were staying overnight. Explained all amenities and let us know we had full access. Also, close to a Publix so we walked there and grabbed some drinks and lunch.

The palpable heat from the indoor pool that fogged my glasses was cruel when there was no hot water in our room. Half the reason you book a day room is a nice hot shower. What a shame. Everything else was fine, good people

The hotel accommodation was a disgrace. They charge for parking, the desk clerk was very rude and they hold on to a $75 deposit which they say won't return to your account for 5-7 days. Very disappointed.

Have been a regular user of the day use. Staff is friendly and nice but the check in system is very slow. They have to get an email from the back office, and if sometimes noone is there, the guest has to wait as long as 30 to 60 min. The other thing is the $25 resort free they charge - which is absolutely a ripoff. This is not a resort hotel and they provide nothing for it. This should be included in the price of the hotel and put upfront. Otherwise, hotel is old but nice enough and convenient location

On my first visit to Shade Manhattan Beach, CA, the room was not ready at the reserved time, even though my reservation was in their system. On my second visit, they claimed that the room was not confirmed and there was no room available. The RUDE front-desk person eventually contacted the manager, and after an hour wait, they eventually found a room. Hotels by Day needs to drop this property as a client. I will not use Shade Manhattan Beach, CA ever again. I should have learned from my first experience with them. This was not the relaxing day experience I wanted.

Very nice hotel. Staff was pleasant. There is a Starbucks on site. The room I had had all the necessities. The kitchenette was really nice. The bed and its comforter were super comfy; I wish I could have taken the comforter. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of room in the closet and vanity. Only 2 negatives: #1 there was an open shower but didn't seem deep enough so I was afraid the water was going to leak onto the floor (it didn't) and #2 the TV could only face the bed. I wanted to watch TV while at the kitchen table or desk but it wouldn't turn more than 45 degrees. Room AC worked very well. Showerhead was tall and water pressure was excellent. I would definitely recommend to others and look forward to staying here again.

We had never considered a day stay, but a fellow traveler mentioned the possibility to us when we were getting off a cruise at 8 AM with lots of luggage and a flight out scheduled at 8 PM. Airline would not check luggage that far in advance and we did not want to hang out at Logan for 12 hours. We loved having the use of a room for the day. The coffee was good, the snack bar had a nice selection, there was a nice walking path outside, and it was wonderful to put our feet up, rest and shower before our late cross country flight. We would do this again in similar circumstances.

What's the point of asking your expected time when you can't even get the room avaible at the check-in time to begin with. The hotel is convenient to airport & rooms are nice and modern. My only complaint is that housekeeping is very loud and not considerate of those who may be trying to sleep during the day. We were a flight crew and there for a day rest, and common practice for housekeeping was to let the door slam against the door swing security bar as they repeatedly went in and out of the rooms. Every few minutes there was a BANG BANG BANG as doors were allowed to just slam. Don’t plan on sleeping while housekeeping is at work.

I paid for the room in advance, so I reserved the room. After arriving, the hotel people told me they overbooked the room. So I had to wait more than one hour to get to my room. Next time, I will just go to pastime to a Starbucks or get a cheaper hotel. These guys are not very serious about their compromise. Avenue Of The Arts Hotel can not be trusted.

The worst part of our 8 week holiday was this experience at the Best Western property. A horrible hotel, can’t believe any rating agency would have a property like this on their books. After checking in, our big mistake, we booked a trip to the airport on the 4pm shuttle. The room we were in was so bad, we actually took the 1pm shuttle to escape!!! We’re are meeting our travel agent tomorrow and we will make sure she does not use your company ever again.

Hotel stay at Hyatt Regency Harbor was fine. The room was clean and the area quite close to Logan International Airport. Apparently, there is a free shuttle between hotel and airport but booking confirmation made no mention on this. Breakfast buffet is available at USD27 but I find the selection quite limited though. Our biggest issue for our stay was that the hotel charged us for our stay even though payment was already processed by hotelsbyday.com. After calling customer service, we got email that the amount charged by hotel will be refunded... but it will take 3-5 days. Hope that hotelsbyday.com could ensure that this process is ironed out as guests have limited hours to enjoy their stay but instead have to spend valuable time following-up on this.

Happy to find Hotels by Day because the hotels at lAX don't offer this directly. Once I found HBD, I was able to book my chosen hotel for a 10 am-5 pm dayroom before a long flight flying to Singapore. It was a fab reservation - we arrived early and in time for the breakfast. The hotel (Residence Inn) checked us in early AND gave us breakfast access. I'll use HBD again and again!

The Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver, BC was incredible. The most beautiful building I've ever been in and service to match. I was thrilled that they were expecting me from the HotelsByDay booking and even told me they give priority to day room customers so they had the room ready even before my scheduled time. This was my first time to use HotelsByDay and I was so anxious that it might not work, but everything worked perfectly and I had the chance to explore a luxury hotel at an economy price (discounted at least 75% from full rates!) What an incredible bargain. I've told everyone I know about this and look forward to going back to the Fairmont Waterfront one of these days.

The beach lounges were comfy with ample shade by the beautiful beach front. The restaurant was Delicious! Very pricey though. The experience was not what I expected from such a large establishment. Bit of a disorganization and dismissive behavior from the front desk staff (Caribbean lady with short curly hair). When I requested a high floor, she coyly stated that she didn't have to accept my booking because they are short on rooms from the turnover. Ms Stephany, front desk supervisor; manager was kind enough to assist and accamodate the booking. She was very polite and respectful.

Our 19th floor room was beautifully appointed and had a superb view over the water. It certainly met our needs as a place to stay from when the cruise ship docked early in the morning until our late night international flight back to Brisbane. Would certainly look at this option again.

Whilst the room was great, the check-in and check-out process at the hotel was appalling. On arrival our reservation was not easily found, and whilst we had paid for this hotel in full via Hotelsbyday, we were held at check-in for more than 30 minutes whilst the hotel tried to verify we had in fact paid. Even the manager needed to get involved all whilst our dayroom hours were ticking away. They eventually allowed us to go to the room, still not fully convinced we had paid for our reservation. On attempt to check-out, an issue of unpaid taxes now became an issue, notwithstanding we had paid for the room and all the taxes in advance via Hotelsby day. This also became an issue that required a manager to come and resolve, again 20 minutes waiting for agreement that we had in fact paid in full. These unnecessary administration matters overshadowed what was a very nice hotel room for day use and would have been completely fit for purpose had all these other annoying issues did not occur. If the hotel is at fault, then they should consider having staff understand that not all guests choose to book directly with a hotel, and if they cant figure the proper administration of such reservations, then dont advertise with booking sites. If hotelsbyday failed to do their job correctly here and caused us the inconvenience, then get your act together in a highly competitive market....as consumers, we have lots of choices, a situation I'm sure you would be aware of and want to fix.

Easy booking, room ready in less than 10min of arrival even though we showed a bit early since we were stranded after a canceled flight at midnight. Receptionist was already familiar with day rooms and helped us check in quickly. Hotel was the nice usual quality of a Hilton with all expected amenities so no issues there. Price was great for the rest after long travel. Easy to get there from jfk airport and quick complimentary shuttle to return to airport. If only the airline was as easy to deal with...

Unexpectedly long transit, searched for day rooms and found this site and this excellent offer - and a twin room which is sometimes hard to find. 15 mins from the airport, friendly welcome, spacious room with good blackout curtains and comfortable beds and pillows. Fell asleep in seconds! When we woke up had a coffee, good and strong shower and left. Good size walk-in shower with nice shampoo and bodywash provided, plus a shaving kit and toothbrush. All that we needed for a half day (midday to 7pm), comfortable, spacious and a friendly welcome and goodbye.

It seemed like it would work, but the hotel staff at the Double Tree hotel didn't seem to know what the voucher was. We sat in the lobby for an hour after a tiring all night flight. By 9 30, we were having to insist on getting a room, but we're told that no room had yet been cleaned. After a bit of insisting, we got our room, but the advertised 9 to 5 didn't happen. Then, on checkout, a much larger bill was presented... essentially the normal rate. So the process didn't work. We likely won't use this service again

I own a restaurant so I know what it is like running a business, and I'd like to highlight a fault with your operation. I booked a dayroom for a special occasion with my wife and when I went to check in, I had asked the receptionist for a DoubleTree cookie, which is what I thought was a unique quirk of your brand and a *thing* the DoubleTree brand was known for doing... handing out a cookie to customers. I was rudely told that Daytime customers don't get cookies. Now if the guy said "sorry we're out of cookies" I would not have cared in the slightest. But for someone to tell me, as a paying customer, that "No you can't have a cookie because you are a daytime customer and not a nighttime customer", is honestly a terrible look on your brand. It's not about the cookie, it's about the principle. It's one thing to not mention or offer the cookie to everyone, but when someone ASKS for one, (because it is quite frankly one of the only things I knew about your brand), and then denying them the cookie because they purchased one type of stay over a different one, it's not likely they will decide to book again. Hope this review gets read but someone in management that actually understands basic common sense when it comes to business and branding.

This was not good. I have stayed in Westins in Capetown and Vegas and those were exeptional hotels. Here the bed linnen was stained, the were blood marks on the towels and in the bathroom there were so many black hairs I could make a wig. Very disappointing.

The room was spacious, clean and quiet, what you would expect from a budget hotel. We also appreciated the onsite restaurant and fitness centre. My biggest issue was with the airport shuttle. I followed the instructions provided by the hotel for requesting the airport shuttle and called the hotel upon arrival using the airport phone. Despite saying that the shuttle would arrive in 20 minutes, it took over 1 hour and 3 phone calls for the shuttle to arrive! Another gentleman had been waiting over 1.5 hours for the shuttle despite also calling the hotel numerous times. The receptionist at the hotel was kind and provided a complimentary buffet breakfast voucher for 2 people for the inconvienience but it was still very unpleasant to be waiting outside in almost freezing temperatures for over 1 hour!

I was charged a parking fee of 55$ although i specifically stated verbatum "I dont have the money to pay for parking, do you have free street parking" She told me to park in #1. This is underneath the the L. Certainly wasnt any special parking. Also hidden fee of deposit which you only get half back. Otherwise hotel was clean, had a community kitchenette downstair which was cool.

Despite calling and speaking with the manager at the Doubletree to reconfirm after booking with HotelsbyTheDay that I need a roomf rom 3-6, I got there and was told by the same manager that nothing was available till 4 pm! You need to figure out your integration with their booking policies MUCH better. The room was fine, but the process was a mess!

Check in/out was as easy as it could have been. To save on money, the hotel had the heat turned off. So the room was freezing when I walked in. Overall, it was nice, but the pictures used on the site do not match the actual room you get. You will not get a balcony, or a large window. But you will get a king size bed and a lot of space. I made it work for what I needed it for.

Even though the hotel was lovely, there was no booking via Hotels By Day. They had never heard of the site and the reference number did not correspond to any booking on their side. The HBD website says to reach out to them on FB messenger if I was having issues checking in , which I did. 7 hours later, I got this response "You can reach us at [email protected] or book directly on our website."

Front desk service isn’t as nice as they used to be. Even after calling to let them know, I had made a reservation through hotels by day I was told there weren’t any rooms available. Front desk agent finally found my reservation and said it would be ready by the time I arrived. She still had an attitude, was not pleasant, and seemed to be in a rush, despite there being no one else at the front desk behind me. Restaurant is closed despite advertising otherwise. Other than that the rooms are OK and they serve their purpose for working conditions when I have my laptop with me WiFi could be better.

Would have had 4 stars if the shuttle had left us off at check-in area of American instead of in a parking lot 3 lanes of highway away and not know where to go. Me, an 82 year old with a 89 yr old husband with a walker, 2 large bags and 2 small. If I had known, would have taken a cab. Very bad experience . Don't know why the driver didn't advice us ahead of time. He could see we couldn't walk well. Booking with Hoteld By Day worked out otherwise to our satisfaction.

The booking process through this website was super simple and I liked how easy it was to price compare. I stayed at the Marriott Courtyard at LAX during a 12 hour stopover between international flights. They stick to the check-in time to the minute - which was fine as I was 20 minutes early. The hotel room itself was everything I needed (hot shower and a bed). To get any reasonable meal, you need to go off-site but I prioritised sleep over eating. There’s a wee market in the foyer if desperate. Free airport shuttle was great too - I just wasn’t sure what shuttle to look for (it’s the orange Joe’s parking one for future travellers) and be prepared for absolutely mayhem in the traffic leaving the airport!

I arrived at the Hyatt in Union Square in NYC, at the time of my booking 12 noon. At first, the woman at the hotel desk informed me that they did not have ,any rooms and they were fully booked. She appeared to think that by telling me that, I was simply going to take my bags and go away. I told her that clearly this was not acceptable. She then said she would ask the manager to come out. He did and told me that they would inspect the rooms upstairs and find me something. It took about 30 minutes, but they did accommodate me. They even added an hour to my booking due to their delay. The room was great and they completely salvaged the experience. I would definitely book with this platform again.

Easy to use. I arrived in Orlando at 8am with a 4 pm checkin to my resort. I booked the room from their parking lot! Only issue was when checking in, the price was higher than advertised. It took the heater awhile to get the chill out of the room but eventually it go warner. The staff "CoCo" was amazing and had the best personality and expertise. She offered information that helped me in choosing Courtyard by Marriot over the other hotels in the vicinity. If I could give negative stars I would. We had a group of 6 adults and a baby so We took 2 taxis to the hotel from port of Miami around 10am totaling about $110 just to find out “they had no rooms available until after 2” we were suppose to be able to check in at 10am.. also they could not find either of our reservations I booked through this site and the others were booked directly with the hotel. But said they were sold out the night before and it was not possible to have anything ready before 2. They did nothing for us for the inconvenience, we were 110bucks from the cabs with nothing to do but sit in a lobby for hours and wait for our next taxi at 230. Absolutely ridiculous. Will never go here again or recommend this

We arrived at Hyatt Place at 10:30am from Port Everglades after a week long cruise. We needed a restful place to unwind before our evening flight home. Hyatt Place was perfect. With such a great day room rate I didn't know what to expect, and the outside of the hotel isn't anything special. But I absolutely loved the room! Very well appointed, comfy, feels like it has been redecorated in the past year, mattress was great and I loved both the bedspread and linens and pillows they chose — and, for me, in particular, very sensitive to light, the fact they had blackout curtains made all the difference. I had a very comfortable sleep. If I had to make just two criticisms: (a) the water pressure in the shower ain't all that great (could have something to do with the unnecessary over-fancy shower head?), and (b) I suggest you approach the front desk with nothing but kindness and gobs of patience. Despite the niceness of this property, I take it the front desk staff ain't all that happy, at least when I was there. So be prepared in advance to hold your cool, which will likely make it, in the end, a better experience. But I would definitely come back here again for a day stay, and thank you to Hotels By Day for having this property in their inventory!

Stayed at the Hilton Garden in NY on 137th. I wasn’t sure this was a legit service but was desperate as our flight arrived at 8:15am and our hotel would not allow early checkin- not even for a charge. I called HBD as I had a concern all hotel accommodations were for 2 adults and our 11yo was traveling with us. The very friendly HBD rep called the hotel and said no problem. As I wasn’t sure of this entire transaction I asked for her name and the hotel rep at the Hilton. Well, everything went EXACTLY as planned. We reserved 10-6, arrived at 10:20 easy check in. We rested for a bit went out on the town and returned at 5:30 to pack up and check out. Douglas at the Hilton was very helpful and our check out was a breeze! We did book and pay ahead. The way I understood this program is if you want and pay- its a bit of a gamble as the room seems “reserved” when you pay now. Not sure if this is correct but it worked for us and we would use this service again.

Total disaster...my second time at this hotel. I would NEVER visit again. They are homeless folks also using the property. I didn't feel safe and they have these folks just walking in the lobby. First of all we thought the hotel was a fake. It was all a building site and had to walk the whole way around to see a small sign saying reception. Then when we got to reception the guy who was only training couldn’t find our booking, he said they don’t do day rates, then his senior eventually came out and they had only got our booking by fax that morning.. even though I had booked one month prior. Anyway they found us a room and it all worked out eventually. Was close to the mall and there was a free airport shuttle.

I'm a travel nurse who works at night, still doing front-line covid care in a pulmonary unit in a small community hospital in Far Rockaway which serves minority communities. I'm also a Hilton Gold Member status. I stay here for day use every week and sleep during the day between shifts. Last week, the front desk worker, Mandi, who has been polite before, was accusatory and condescending saying that I'm trying to have an early check-in and late check out without paying. My check-in time was 9am and I was standing at the front desk at exactly 8:49am. I asked to chec out at 6pm rather than 5 (which is included nin my Gold Member perks), and she said that would be an extra $10 even though I'd never been charged the 25 times I've stayed there before. She was extremely rude to the point of making me cry (because I was already so darn tired from working a 16-hour shift the night before. She was so rude that a stranger came and hugged me while I was waiting at the elevator and said sorry Mandi treated me like that. I'll continue to stay at this hotel because aside from this isolated incident, it's lovely, clean, and everyone else is friendly and accomodating. I just felt compelled to review this because it was so jarring to me.

If I could give it no stars I would! The hotel location is very beautiful but the room in front of the pool was dirty and old. If your booking a Dayroom you will not be given any beach front room (hotel policy). On Hotelsby Day website beach front rooms is what is being advertised with pictures but your not getting none of that. Also be ready to pay $26 for mandatory Valet at the front desk and when picking up your car from the Valet being asked again to pay $26. Looking at my bank statement this morning, they charged me 3 x for deposit, resort fee and valet parking.

We rented the room from 10a-4p but weren't able to get into the room until 11am because Hotels By Day did not forward the reservation to the hotel. I had to make multiple calls to the Hotels By Day office who then had to talk to the front desk who then had to talk to the hotel manager who then had to collect my payment information. We did eventually get into the room and it was lovely, but the experience did not start off well. I was definitely disappointed, especially after receiving several confirmation emails. I was sure there would be no problems. Definitely put a damper on our short stay.

The online booking was troublesome because I like to talk to front desk to confirm reservations. I went ahead & did it online & hoped for the best. Sure enough we got to the hotel at 10:30am off a cruise ship, but when I tried to check in the receptionists said they had no rooms available even though I showed them my confirmation. They kept saying checking is at 3 pm, even though I told them it’s a “day stay”. I asked for their manager, who came & tried to say they don’t do that, rooms are being cleaned & not ready till 3pm. She’d not heard of “hotels by day” etc. I asked her to call the number on your confirmation. She spoke to someone & finally got things going. I had a reservation from 10am to 5 pm, but because of the hassle with front desk not working with me we lost an hour of our reservation! I asked for compensation or discount but they refused. They said they will honor our request even though they had no rooms available. I was not impressed with their handling of the whole situation, we were made to feel we invaded their space even though we paid for the room. The room itself was great. We got much needed rest since our flight was not till 7:00 that evening. I hope that we can use this service in future with less stress.

Room was quite small with a squeaky bed. Entry cards stopped working half way through the day so had to be taken back down to reception. Hotel seemed quite nice but I would not stay there for a longer period of time if my experience of the day room was a sample of the other rooms available to book.

Hotel was lovely and I enjoyed my stay, however I have been overcharged and charged twice with no explanation. I have no itemised bill either - so it’s left a sour taste in my mouth. When I first got there, I told them I had pre-paid and they couldn’t find that either so I stood in reception for 45 minutes waiting for them to figure it out before I could even go to my room after 9 hours of travelling.

Jaron, was an amazing front desk agent. He took all necessary steps, and was very professional. And when we left the hotel, he had a big line of guests waiting, me and my partner decided to sit and wait. He actually quickly checked us out without a line, and came up to us very nicely and professional to let us know! Amazing service! The hotel was an older hotel, and def more boutique. I loved the pool, although very small, but plenty of space to sit down and relax. Bar and restaurant are really nice, and everything has a homey feel to it. Rooms are smaller, but comfortable and clean. Excellent job!

Reservation was 7-5, I arrived at 8 and was told they don't have day rooms for the hours specified. They only have them in 5 hours blocks. I showed my confirmation clearly stating checkin is at 7 and check out at 5 but the manager said they do not offer those hours. They wanted to charge me for the morning block and afternoon block. After a bunch of back and forth, they said they will allow this time only. Also, this was the manager I was dealing with so I'm not sure where the problem is. More than likely will not go back if they will not honor the reservation next time.

This hotel is definitely a vibe! The front desk staff was accommodating and extremely helpful. They really made is feel welcomed. The valet guy even spent extra time helping us to rent the complimentary bikes. I appreciated my short stay here and can't wait to return for an extended stay. Such a beautiful hotel!

The people at the front we’re very nice and the design and feel of the hotel lobby was very sophisticated and cool. However, if the hotel wanted to really stay unique and different from other competitors, I would recommend making sure to have some kind of alert or disclaimer that we would have to make sure to send ahead of time our booking information because hotels by day is not interfaced with the main hotel so they didn’t have my information and unknowingly charged my fiancé when I already paid online who assisted on checking us out while I was packing up my work laptop to leave. I think this causes confusion and also delay to the customer as well as not fair for the staff to be a bit puzzled and not have all the information to perform their duties from the check in and out process. I think if area was improved , I think guests might have a better satisfaction with their experience. Good luck!

The hotel offers rooms that are separate for work and rest. I got a combined setting where I did not feel comfortable with video meetings because the bed was in full view. In addition, the room and floor were not cleaned properly, and the housekeeping staff being disrespectfully loud and having inappropriate conversations outside the room door. I was in the middle of a meeting, and the door was knocked on for checkout when I had the room until 4:00 pm. This will be the last time I would use 48 LEX and may never use hotels by day ever again. I paid extra for a room layout that I never got.

Arrived at the airport, called the hotel to ask specifics and they said sorry we do not provide those services. Ended up ubering to and from the airport, spent more money than I anticipated. The rooms and service there was excellent, friendly staff and clean room.

Had a great and easy time. Shuttle picked us up within 5mins of arriving at the stop at LAX and then another 5 min ride to the hotel. We had a 10hr layover so this was perfect. Room was very big and spacious, with a massive bathroom. We liked this hotel because of the gym equipment and weren’t disappointed. Great to do a big workout and swim before heading back to the airport for our next flight. Pool left more to be desired and bar/lounge is closed for lunch. Next door has a great sandwich joint. We booked 2 rooms at the four point by Sheraton at LAX for our friends who had a 10 hour layover on their way back to Europe. The hotel desk could not find the reservation even though we had reservation numbers and the rooms were paid in advance. My friends do not speak English and they called me in the middle of my night to try and untangle this mess. The front desk kept on saying there was no room available. After 30mns somehow they found a way to honor the reservations. While a great service, there needs to be a much better coordination with hotels. It should not be that hard!

The Four Points LAX is a depressing hotel. The rooms have a window that faces an enclosed hallway and feel very creepy. My family and I decided to spend all of our time at pool because the room was so creepy and unsatisfactory. The pool was fine, except for the visible trash on the general area. Overall I would describe the hotel as sad and poorly maintained.

Great stay for a 16 hour layover. I was able to easily walk to the historical center and enjoy a lovely bed. The check in was having a bit of issues on the hotels computer end but they were extremely accommodating. Easy to use, very convenient.

This was the worst experience ever. Booked a week in advance and travelled to the hotel only for them to tell me there is no reservation for my name, and that all rooms are full. I called 3 times before I got a call back, and all they said was they sent the reservation to the wrong email and there was nothing they can do. There are no hotels or motels available anywhere near me, so we are forced to sleep in our car. And for our inconvenience we were offered a 20 dollar credit to the site. Please do not book here. Call the hotel directly and book with them.

Room was good and pretty! But I booked it for the day, to get some comfortable rest while our house is being rebuilt. At first it took a lot of time at the reception desk to get the room. It was like we checked in for a whole week. It took al least 15 minutes, maybe 20. Then someone from housekeeping entered the room while I was walking around in my underware. Then someone else from housekeeping knocked on the door while I was a sleep, to bring the hairdryer. They could be more professional about their Day use policy.

I book the room for a daystation while my vehicle was being serviced, book from 8 am -6 pm, got a call that I had to leave the room at 2 pm. Got a little angry, and was about to go and curse out the front desk, since my booking was till 6 pm. While on my way down to the front desk, got a call that my vehicle will be ready at 1 pm. Since that was the case I just left the hotel. Now beside this, the stay itself was amazing, the room was clean, and had a fresh smell. Would definitely do it again, but would want my full time that I paid for.

I was taking a break since I was working remotely from my job so I decided to use a room to finish work and then relax. You need to put down whether it will be an incidental rate will be a part of the rate. I hate that I find out last minute. It is what it is. The bed was too firm for me to lay down but good to work in which is why the rating is in the middle. I stayed at Club Quarters and Delta hotels which their beds were extremely comfortable.

Hotel was located near the airport which was convenient, price was fair, no complaints with the room + a bonus to be able to cast directly to the TV from my phone. Only complaint I have was the fridge was not cleaned out and had Thai Express from god knows when as the fridge smelled

Having the day room in Boston was great since we weren’t flying out until the evening. The disappointing part was the extra $25+ fee charged on top of tax for the “destination charge” that I was not made aware of in advance. The booking said $89+tax and nothing about this additional fee. That was a surprise and made our reasonable prices stay much more expensive. I asked the hotel for an explanation and they said since I booked through you, you should have informed me about the charge in advance.

Got there and they were doing maintenance on the fire alarm system.... would have been nice to know this ahead of time since I had some videoconference meetings later that day (ended up being OK). The computers were down when I arrived at my destination, it was so hot and humid I asked for a bottled water but they had none either. Leaving took as long as the registration. I booked a dayroom in Chicago to make the best use of the day between an airbnb checkout and an afternoon flight home. The experience of finding a hotel, setting up a booking, and redeeming the points (in a web browser on a computer) was uncommonly smooth. I went in expecting rough edges, but no, the user experience is right up there with the biggest booking platforms. Maybe even better than some, which get bloated with upsells. Wonderful work on that! They dayroom was great! The Club Quarters at Wacker/Michigan was awesome except for an out-of-service elevator that made getting to/from the room slow at times. I was able to meditate, do some billable work, and not think about my bags when ducking out for a last-minute lunch with an old colleague. Peace and quiet are precious luxuries in the middle of a big city. I'm glad that Hotels By Day exists.

The hotel posts that it has shuttle service but it’s extremely limited. Which to me is false advertisement. I was told shuttle service was every 37mins shuttle stops at 9am and resumes around 5pm. Terrible information

We almost did not get a room for the day despite our reservation with my credit card because the first receptionist we spoke with was very rude and quite frankly unaware that we had already reserved a room, saying check-in began at 4pm when we arrived around 11am. Another receptionist knew about the day use room option at the hotel and kindly set us up with a room. However, the price was much higher than what Hotels by Day said it would amount to. The customer service was poor, but my partner and I managed to enjoy our stay in the room and time at the waterfront.

The behavior by the front desk is unacceptable!  We immediately called the front desk and they apologized for any frustrating behavior.  As for the difference in rate, we were assured that the rate advertised is the rate they charged.  However, there's an extra hold on your credit card due to possible incidentals, which gets automatically refunded in 3 to 5 days.

I have booked a room here 3-4 times and never had an issue until yesterday. The receptionist very publicly announced I had booked through hotels by day with a very judgmental look on her face. Then 30 min into my stay housekeeping was banging on the door asking me how much longer until I was checking out. I was pretty disappointed in this experience. My previous visits have been fine. The rooms have always been clean so that is a plus!

Dayroom was just what we needed for our 6 hour Atlanta layover, however, despite Hotels By Day reconfirming our reservation, The Westin did not have our reservation; calls to HBD went to voicemail; reservation was eventually found but we spent 1/2 hour of our precious need for shower and nap waiting; HBD did call me back, but more than 1-1/2 hours later after we were already checked in; Love the concept and wish Westin had the reservation and HBD had someone to speak to at the time of need

This hotel and room was perfect for a few hours of rest in between flights. Check-in was smooth and the room was beautifully clean. Shower was good. Two negative points: 1. We asked for a baby cot, but this message never made it to the hotel. We asked at check-in and were told it will be done, but it never arrived. 2. There is a USD$300 charge still pending on our card several days after we left. We paid upfront for the room so there is no reason for this charge.

I stayed at the Goodtime Hotel in Miami Beach. Chic, clean, modern hotel with with a great atmosphere. You feel relaxed from the moment you walk in the door. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times, from parking valet, concierge staff, Restaurant and bar staff as well as the cleaning staff I encountered, I felt welcome and respected during all my interactions. Special shout out to Pablo and Chad from the front desk. The hotel as well maintained amenities, with a bar, resturant, cafe, outdoor gym, pool and patio. ​It was a great experience. We arrived before the 10 a.m. check in time and were told to go and have breakfast while we waited for a room. The room they gave us was fantastic so we were able to just relax, have a stroll around the grounds and by the pool and it was such a pleasant way to spend the day. Our flight was at 9 p.m. so it all worked out really well, much better than spending it in a crowded airport. The staff were extremely helpful. Will definitely do this again. Well worth the money.
