                        Room was advertised as a day use stay that I booked as a place to sleep during a 13 hour layover. It was actually a short stay love hotel with room rates by the hour. The shower was dirty and the nozzle leaked profusely. The bed only came with a sheet and the window AC sounded like a jet engine. I had the room reserved for 6am to 4pm. Imagine trying to sleep and getting called at noon to find out if I was done with the room yet. Definitely don’t book this place if you are looking to get any rest.

                        I paid ahead because the site stated that I was guaranteed a room if paid ahead. When I arrived at my check-in time I was told that a room would not be available until 12:30 and there was no guarantee I would have a room. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was magically placed in an available room. This is unacceptable and hotel and Hotels by Day should have the kinks worked out for guests who pay ahead online. Please get this worked out with the hotels that you are showing DAY use availability for.                         Shower wasn’t clean, black hairs on floor-this is a big deal for me, sorry.                         The information was contradictory. It was stated that all services were available, but elsewhere in the process, it indicated that the pool was not.                         Used this hotel during a layover in Boston to store bags and freshen up before heading to the airport. The location in the downtown area was fine and the room itself was a decent size and clean, but the property as a whole is in need of refurbishment.
First impressions weren’t great—the receptionist was very surly and not welcoming at all. On the other hand, the concierge team was excellent: extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating, which made a big difference.
Huge negative was the shower, with water that was barely warm, which made freshening up very uncomfortable.

                        When we arrived at 9:00, the double room wasn't available.                         No food access. Breakfast closed at 11, dinner opens at 4. No info available in room for local options. Porter took bags to room, failed to mention my mother had already tipped him when I offered a tip. Called to have bags taken down, no one showed up, no call saying if would be awhile. After 15 min I wrangled 5 suitcases and a wheelchair bound mother to the elevator.                         There was no reservation on file and the hotel was fully booked for 3 weeks. I was given a false positive by this site regarding this reservation. This isn’t the first time, it’s the second.                         Hotel shuttle took 50 mins to arrive, despite using the robo call to confirm our arrival which ate into precious sleeping time. We were allocated a room right across from the elevator, which again was not conducive to sleep. Ended up leaving the hotel about an hour earlier than planned to at least relax in the Centurion lounge at the airport prior to our transatlantic flight.                         The cleaning staff hadn't yet arrived by the time I was ready to check in. I was forced to wait 50 minutes and was not compensated for their negligence. Asked if the check out time could be extended to satisfy the time wasted waiting for tardy cleaning staff to arrive, but was told they could not do that. Of course they could, they simply chose not to. On the check-in desk there is a sign that boasts "The Hilton Garden Inn Promise" which is their commitment to making every guest's stay "better and brighter," guaranteed. If something isn't right, supposedly a team member will make it right. Well, not in my case. If only a company whose business model is based on hospitality, actually delivered on their advertisement slogans.                         Overall it was a clean and comfortable hotel. Farther from the airport than I thought. It did not state to call the hotel for shuttle service. I called but was put on hold. The voice loop stated that shuttles will come regularly. That is not the case. You have to call. Waited over one hour before we got picked up.                         We stayed for a few hours, just took a nap, and then moved on. A comfortable space, good location. They only took away a star because they overcharged us for some reason. No parties or crazy things; we left early.
