Hotel Amenities

Hotel Description

Culture vultures may especially like staying at the day rooms of Canopy by Hilton Atlanta Midtown, as the hotel is located in the center of Atlanta’s Arts District. There are museums and galleries galore within a short distance of the hotel door, and the pet-friendly hourly rooms also afford easy access to other attractions ranging from the Georgia Aquarium to Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Neighborhood

  • Global Menu – Thai treats pepper the menu of Nan Thai Fine Dining which is furnished with a modern Zen-like décor. South City Kitchen Midtown is located in a 1920s bungalow and offers an innovative and sophisticated take on Southern favorites and features a cozy fireplace. New American seafood washed down with custom cocktails are available at Lure, whilst Ecco Midtown prepares seasonal European dishes. Other culinary styles in the vicinity include Japanese and halal.

  • Museums – There’s a diverse collection of artworks exhibited at the nearby High Museum of Art, in addition to modern architecture designed by the likes of Richard Meier and Renzo Piano. Sculptures, paintings, and art expressed in other media are available to peruse at your leisure. There’s an equally fascinating (although grisly, so it’s not for the squeamish) collection of exhibits at Bodies The Exhibition, where you can find preserved human organs collected for educational purposes.

  • Live Performances – The hotel’s location in the heart of the Arts District means there are plenty of live performance venues conveniently close. Just down the road is the acclaimed Alliance Theatre where you can catch top notch performances of major plays, and if contemporary plays, dance, and independent films tickle your fancy then pay Synchronicity Theatre a visit.

  • Georgia Aquarium – To the south is one of the largest aquariums in the world, the Georgia Aquarium. In addition to the extensive array of intriguing and exotic marine wildlife on display, the aquarium also features interactive galleries and permanent exhibits.
