My rating is primarily based on the customer service experience we encountered upon arrival on October 9, 2026, at approximately 8:00 a.m. We had booked a day-use room so we could get some rest and freshen up after a red-eye flight. When we entered the hotel, there were approximately four or five employees at the front desk, yet not a single one acknowledged us or made eye contact. Eventually, one employee reluctantly assisted us. When I mentioned our day-use reservation, he seemed visibly annoyed and had to contact housekeeping to determine which room was available for us. Overall, the interaction felt unwelcoming and left a poor first impression. That being said, the hotel itself met our needs. We simply wanted a quiet place to nap and shower, and our room was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. While the hotel's exterior wasn't particularly appealing, the room was perfectly fine. Although our reservation was valid until 2:00 p.m., we ended up leaving around 10:00 a.m., having gotten the rest we needed. Ultimately, the accommodations served their purpose, but the lack of basic hospitality at check-in was disappointing. A simple greeting or acknowledgment would have gone a long way toward making the experience more pleasant.

Convenient to be closer to the airport. Was able to have a shower prior to departing for a late 13 hr flight. Room was clean. Shuttle bus available for the short trip to the airport .

Great hotel great experience

I had an 11-hour gap between the end of my meetings and when my flight left. This was a great solution that allowed me time to work out, complete some tasks and relax. Room was great as was the on-site restaurant - considerably better than airport options. Also appreciated the free shuttle to the airport.

it was nice, clean, kind people and nice pool

This hotel sets the standard for hotels. It is a comfortable and very clean hotel with a friendly and professional staff.

First of all, wifi was non-existent. Could not even connect to it. Bad thing was bathroom had a sewer smell that could be smelled from the room. Otherwise, the room was clean.

We had an 11.5 hour layover before an international flight and didn’t want to spend the entire day in the airport. The day room was the perfect solution and allowed us to get some rest before the flight. 10/10 recommend!

Close to airport with a convenient shuttle sservice. Rooms were clean and seemed recently renovated. Would stay again

THE. WORST. SOGO hotels should NOT be part of your options. This one was DISGUSTING. We walked in and walked out. The room was NOTHING like the pics. It was filthy and creepy (there was a dead bug on the “clean sheet”). And we chose this location because it had the best reviews of the lot in that area. Apparently they are well known for being trash we just didn’t see those reviews til it was too late. We literally chose waiting for 9 hours at the airport over spending another minute in that room. NEVER USE A SOGO HOTEL and now I am QUITE LEARY of Hotels by Day as well. HOW COULD THEY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE???

I did a day room stay at the H Hotel at LAX. Check in was easy, the hotel room was nice and clean. I was able to sleep for a few hours and shower before a long international flight. There were no issues with the check in or out. I would definitely reserve a day room again through hotels by day and I will tell my friends and family about it!

The room and accomodation was ok, but I couldn't get shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, even though it was indicated as a provided service by the hotel and I put a note (a request) about that during my reservation.

I love the Draper but I do not like having to write down my telephone number and birthday for the person at reception after having presented my driver's license. The Draper is the only place that does this and it's one person in particular who asks me for it.
