You can also visit the full Smithsonian American Art Museum a sort distance away. 
  • The White House – One of the most recognized buildings in the world, and certainly within the United States, the White House has been an important symbol in America for generations. You really can’t get much closer to the White House than when you’re staying at the Hampton Inn. It’s an easy walk to this, and other, famous sites. 
  • Ford’s Theatre – If you know anything about history, it’s probably that President Lincoln was shot at Ford’s Theatre. This landmark is worth checking out if you’re a history buff, or just someone who wants to experience an important place in real life. 
  • National Museum of Women in the Arts – This museum provides a wide array of art specifically created by and for women. There are over 5,500 works in their collections from over 1,000 artists.
