Hotel Description

Located close to State Route 18 and I-77, Radisson Hotel Akron/Fairlawn has a number of attractions for a day guest, including Sarah’s Vineyard and Akron Zoo. Those with a little more time on their hands can also travel to nearby Cleveland and take in the distractions of the big city.

Neighborhood

  • Diverse Dining Options – There’s an eclectic mix of culinary choices close at hand, including Far Eastern fare from Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse. If upmarket food and nautical themes tickles your fancy then give the Kingfish seafood restaurant a look, or try the Winking Lizard Tavern if classic American grub is more to your taste. But if a cultural mix is your ideal, then Aladdin’s Eatery, combining American and Lebanese styles, is the place for you.

  • Akron Zoo – Akron Zoo is a 50 acre establishment with hundreds upon hundreds of exotic residents to delight wildlife enthusiasts. There’s an aquarium, grizzly bears, tigers, river otters, and a train, and plenty of places for children to play, if you’re traveling with little ones.

  • Sarah’s Vineyard – Sarah’s Vineyard is a great place for an oenophile to visit. There’s not only a feast for the stomach with wines and food, but for the eyes with the beautiful view of the vineyard.

  • Cuyahoga Valley National Park – With more than 33,000 acres to explore, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is full of picturesque scenery and hiking trails for those who enjoy taking in nature and having a spot of exercise at the same time. Photographers (who don’t mind getting wet) might particularly like taking a snap of the Brandywine Falls, where upper and lower boardwalks offer a variety of views.

We should mention

  1. Complimentary tea and coffee.
