We booked a day pass as we had an early evening flight after a cruise (Sunday). The Sonesta was a perfect home base for the day in FLL. We dropped luggage at 9AM. Walked to the nearby Hugh Taylor Birch State Park for a wonderful 2 mile hike, came back to the hotel to lounge by the pool for a few hours. Went back out for lunch and live music at the park, then used the restrooms to clean up and change for our 7PM flight. My only reason for not leaving 5 stars is the pool was pretty much over-run with kids in the AM and the pool restrooms in the gym could have been cleaner. We opted for the restrooms by the front desk which were larger and cleaner. No showers available. All-in-all, a great way to pass the day for $50 and we would highly recommend the Sonesta FLL.
The hotel is under renovation. I was not affected by noise because I was on a higher floor and back room where nothing could be heard. I had a fully renovated room that was missing a desk chair, hangers and perhaps something else. I understood they are working hard to renovate the rooms and the only thing I needed was the hangers, which were promptly brought to me on request. The lady working the front desk was very nice and so was the gentleman who ran upstairs with the hangers. I have no complaints, I will return. My purpose was accomplished, to be rested for my late flight that night.
The staff was very pleasant. The room was a bit dated & had a weird cooking smell...it had a kitchen area...so someone had been cooking something. Other than that..it was a good stay.

Thwy were nice as usual but had issues checking in but they were helpful and got me in a room since shiwed paid but they couldnt get it to work in system. But they are nice and friendly and room was great

The space of the room was excellent and it was very clean. The decor was perfect for the setting. Especially like the lighting. Would definitely come here again

Clean comfortable room at excellent value. The combination is really a 5-star experience, but I gave it 4 stars because there are some expectation tradeoffs that naturally come with value.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, their elevators are a small nightmare. This is the second time I have used this hotel & the elevators were a problem 2 months ago. It seems they are under maintenance/renovating, whatever..
