Visitors to sunny Frisco can find a convenient place for a day stay at the Sheraton Stonebriar Hotel. Sitting right by great restaurants and with numerous shopping malls in easy reach, the day use rooms come with free Wi-Fi, and there are museums and sporting opportunities (both active and as a spectator) in the local area.
Diverse Dining – Edoko Sushi & Robata is right by the day rooms and serves up sushi, sashimi, and traditional charcoal-grilled Japanese cuisine. Steaks, seafood, and elegant surroundings are all available at Silver Fox, as is an extensive selection of wine. If Italian’s your favorite cuisine then visit Trattoria Al Giardino, where homestyle meals are presented in a Tuscanesque setting complete with garden patio seating.
Rock Climbing and Stadia – To the north, the upwardly mobile can make full use of Canyons Rock Climbing to challenge the artificial cliff walls and work off some steam. It’s a great way to get fit, or stay that way, and has friendly and helpful staff. If you prefer exercise as a spectator, then the Dr Pepper Ballpark and Toyota Stadium (home of the FC Dallas soccer team) offer a choice of venues to enjoy sports without having to do the hard work.
National Videogame Museum – Computer games are bigger than Hollywood, and the history and development of this most interactive of media is explored at Frisco’s National Videogame Museum. The exhibits are as hands-on as you would expect, and include classic machines and consoles.
Shopping – There’s a number of different shopping malls that day visitors can browse, including the Stonebriar Centre, and the Lebanon/Legacy Center (which has the Play Street Museum on hand if you’re traveling with children and they need a distraction).
