Hotel Amenities

Hotel Description

Residence Inn by Marriott State College provides pet-friendly day use rooms with numerous amenities, all within easy reach of various attractions. Inside, hourly room guests have free Wi-Fi, free parking, and on-site dining, with Penn State University, Bryce Jordan Center, Pegula Ice Arena, Beaver Stadium, the Palmer Museum of Art, and Rec Hall all close at hand, and Penn’s Cave just a little further afield.

  • Range of Restaurants – There are plenty of dining establishments in the vicinity, with the nearest being Plaza Mexican Bar & Grill, where guacamole is made by your table and the menu is enormous. Prefer Chinese? Then try Little Szechuan, an informal restaurant that serves up both familiar and more exotic Sichuan dishes. Thai fans should head over to BYOB establishment Cozy Thai Bistro where the dishes include healthy and vegetarian options. Other styles are available in the area, such as Korean, American, and more.

  • Penn’s Cave & Wildlife Park – Northeast is Penn’s Cave & Wildlife Park, an attraction dating back to the 19th century. Today there are guided tours around this atmospheric limestone cavern (bring a coat, it can get a little cool). Plus you can enjoy walking on the wild side at the safari.

  • The Arboretum at Penn State – Tree-lovers find themselves conveniently close to The Arboretum at Penn State, a picturesque site run by the university. There’s a mixture of woodlands, botanical gardens, and fields, and it’s a great place to relax with a leisurely stroll.

  • Palmer Museum of Art – Not far from the Arboretum is the Palmer Museum of Art, a small but intriguing museum exhibiting creative works from Africa, Asia, Europe, and America. The galleries are home to paintings from centuries past through to more modern works, such as photography by Andy Warhol.
