Hotel staff was 45 minutes late in getting us a room and then when we went down to get lunch, their restaurant was closed. Room was fine for a shower and nap, and location was good for a quick shuttle to the airport.

Would use this again with a long layover. So much better than waiting at the airport. Bed was super comfortable , got some sleep. Shower was just what was needed. Shuttle to and from the airport work very well once I had found the number to dial

Overall, great service. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. I enjoy being able to walk in, put my things down, get comfy and turn on the tv. The room they assigned me, tv was not working. Wouldn’t turn on for anything. Otherwise, I was relaxed and refreshed.

One of the most essential parts of my stay was to be Taking a Shower. The water in that room's shower would not heat up at all. Cold cold shower- horrible upsetting disappointing yuck

The hotel and the location were perfect for a day relax and refresh before a late flight from Miami International Airport. The room was big and clean and just what we needed. The missing star is for the house-keeping staff who let the doors slam each time they entered and left the multiple rooms on the 5th floor. It was a long corridor but we heard each one. Great room though.

I have never experienced such a level of unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for a paying customer. I arrived for my scheduled check-in for a room I had already paid for in full, only to be met with hostilty and a flat-out refusal to let me check in.
Not only was the staff incredibly rude and dismissive, but they also refused to provide a valid reason for denying me the room I booked. To make matters worse, they are now refusing to issue a refund.
Let’s be clear: This hotel took my money, refused to provide the service I paid for, and is now effectively stealing that payment.
Save yourself the headache and the money. Do not book here unless you enjoy being insulted and robbed. I will be disputing this charge with my bank and reporting this establishment to every travel authority possible.

the front desk showed initiative to allow us check in 1 hour before the agreed 9am slot. Room was clean and comfortable. location was also good.

Loved the room—the whole place felt like a mini vacation for the day. The only downside was the staff on the 32nd floor. No one greeted us, and they didn’t seem very friendly. It felt like we were bothering them, which took away a bit from the overall experience.

We booked a day pass as we had an early evening flight after a cruise (Sunday). The Sonesta was a perfect home base for the day in FLL. We dropped luggage at 9AM. Walked to the nearby Hugh Taylor Birch State Park for a wonderful 2 mile hike, came back to the hotel to lounge by the pool for a few hours. Went back out for lunch and live music at the park, then used the restrooms to clean up and change for our 7PM flight. My only reason for not leaving 5 stars is the pool was pretty much over-run with kids in the AM and the pool restrooms in the gym could have been cleaner. We opted for the restrooms by the front desk which were larger and cleaner. No showers available. All-in-all, a great way to pass the day for $50 and we would highly recommend the Sonesta FLL.

The hotel is under renovation. I was not affected by noise because I was on a higher floor and back room where nothing could be heard. I had a fully renovated room that was missing a desk chair, hangers and perhaps something else. I understood they are working hard to renovate the rooms and the only thing I needed was the hangers, which were promptly brought to me on request. The lady working the front desk was very nice and so was the gentleman who ran upstairs with the hangers. I have no complaints, I will return. My purpose was accomplished, to be rested for my late flight that night.

The room was clean and functional. We took a nap and showered. Pool was under renovation so that was disappointing. Front desk employee was not friendly at all. She gave me a hard time about arriving at 9:15 am instead of 10:00 am. I told her I'd have no issue waiting until 10. But considering we'd be out of the room by 2:00 pm, rather than the allowed 4:00 pm, it hardly seems worth splitting hairs over being 45 minutes early. Finally when I asked her about the airport shuttle she just said 'You catch it outside.' That's it. Like outside isn't obvious. She didn't tell us the times or anything. It was clear she doesn't like her job. We figured it out on our own.

Shoshana was AMAZING!!!!! The male representative at the front desk was very good! The two women working at the front desk that day were rude and not friendly! We actually tried to get another day hotel because of the rudeness of the front desk

The staff was very pleasant. The room was a bit dated & had a weird cooking smell...it had a kitchen area...so someone had been cooking something. Other than that..it was a good stay.
