Planetarium – A little to the west is the William M. Staerkel Planetarium, one of the largest in the state of Illinois. The child-friendly show is entertaining and educational in equal measure, a hidden gem of Champaign and a great place for astronomers to spend a little time.
Spurlock Museum – The conveniently close Spurlock Museum is brimming with artifacts from all around the globe. The collection spans thousands of years of human civilization, right back to the distant days of Ancient Egypt, including an assortment of cast replica statues.
