Neighborhood

  • Diverse Dining – Day visitors out and about have a selection of great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel door. Upscale seafood can be enjoyed at the nearby Farallon restaurant, which comes complete with undersea décor, raw bar, and extensive wine list. Fans of second breakfast or brunch can sate their appetite at Lapisara Eatery, a chic establishment serving American classics and a handful of Thai treats too.  A casual cocktail of culinary styles including Hawaiian, Indian, and Chinese are prepared at Liholiho Yacht Club, whilst those who prefer a refined atmosphere and sleek surroundings can find top notch sushi and seasonal main courses at Sushi Hashiri.
  • Alcatraz Island – Alcatraz Island was once the long term home of nefarious criminals including the world’s most famous tax evader: Al Capone. Today visitors are able to leave more readily, but whilst there can enjoy touring the museum and learning more about the prison’s history and inmates.
  • Golden Gate Bridge – Architecture and photography enthusiasts will be hard pressed to find a more iconic site than the Golden Gate Bridge. Spanning thousands of feet, the art deco architectural landmark is a prime spot for souvenir photos, and is open to foot, bike, and car traffic.
  • Fisherman’s Wharf – To the north of the hotel is Fisherman’s Wharf, brimming with shopping opportunities and tourist attractions. If you’re into military or naval matters then the SS Jeremiah O’Brien, a working World War II-era vessel and living museum, might be up your street, and the submarine USS Pampanito is nearby too. At the eastern end is the Aquarium of the Bay, where beasts of the deep including sharks and jellyfish, plus cuddlier creatures like otters, can be found.
