Residence Inn by Marriott (Times Square) is a convenient location for a day visitor to New York City, within walking distance of Bryant Park, and close to the Javits Convention Center and various forms of public transit. In addition, there are many museums and architectural landmarks in the vicinity to enjoy your day stay.
Manhattan Menu – The hotel has its own on-site restaurant, but if you fancy stretching your legs there are plenty of dining options from which to choose. Irish pub fans may want to visit Hurley’s Saloon, whilst those wishing to indulge their sweet tooth can enjoy desserts at Junior’s Restaurant & Bakery. If you prefer the swankier end of things, there’s French seafood restaurant Le Bernardin.
Awesome Architecture – Not all skyscrapers are created equal, and some go on to become stars of the silver screen. From the iconic Flatiron Building (famous from Spiderman as the home of the Daily Bugle), to the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings, with film credits too numerous to list, the Big Apple has fantastic architecture to admire.
Museums – The Museum of Modern Art exhibits works from Van Gogh and Warhol, amongst others, whilst the Metropolitan Museum of Art (located in Central Park), is home to an extensive artwork collection that ranges from the ancient world right through to modern times. Western European art is displayed at the Frick Collection, and the Rubin Museum of Art exhibits paintings, statues and more from Bhutan, Tibet and elsewhere in Asia.
Bryant Park – Just a short walk from the hotel door, Bryant Park is a pleasant place to relax, have a picnic, or enjoy a game of mini-golf. During winter ice-skating may be available, and the park offers a view of the Empire State Building.
