This was my second time at the location because my first time was great, this time I was given room 214 and when I went it was occupied and went back to the counter, I was given room 314 and someone walked in on me and my partner.. No privacy someone can just walk in on you just because they be giving rooms that are being used.

It is very regretful that their mix-up has ruined your day stay and we have communicated that ruined experience because of an incomplete staff training on their end. BEWARE!!! We booked 2 rooms and pre-paid in full a 5 hour Day room at a Miami hotel through HotelsByDay. When we arrived we had to put up a $50 (pending) credit card hold. Two hours after we left we had noticed that both rooms had been charged an additional $93 plus $43 over and above the paid room. We contacted the hotel and was told there was no such charge, we contacted HotelsbyDay and they said the charges were in error and would be removed. 5 days later and the $50 was removed but not the other 2 charges. We contacted our bank to dispute the charges and they advised that it is a possible fraud against our credit card. We are still waiting for the reversals or for the credit card company to resolve and reverse the fraudulent or fake charges.

Thank you for taking the time to review your past stay and we are so sorry to read that an error in charging has ruined what would otherwise be a great day stay! --- To be clear, it is NOT HotelsByDay that overcharged you, but the hotel. Our team has reached out the hotel multiple times to make sure that the overcharges gets refunded right away. We called them so many times that they're not taking our calls anymore, and have just now sent an email to their executives asking for an explanation. We are certain this financial issue will get resolved in your favor and are working hard in your favor to resolve it ASAP.
Please note however that when a financial transaction gets disputed, it may freeze the entire process for a few months. Anyway, we're on top of this issue on your behalf. Thank you Vivian for your incredible patience.

Person at front desk was rude. He stated since I made the reservation was made on this website he did not have to honor it. So I did not stay. I called Hilton and told them about this and another matter. I will never stay at this hotel.

The pool wasn’t heated as mentioned, even the shower by the pool wasn’t cold. I did not enjoy, and left after 5 minutes.

Service was solid, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the location was near several walkable restaurants - perfect for waiting for a late flight after a cruise.

Process was smooth and simple, room was available on arrival and hotel even able to accommodate an extra hour on check out time. Excellent room type provided and great for relaxing before late night flight.

It was difficult to control the water temperature in the shower in the room. It was either freezing or scorching hot.
hello Omri. Thank you for your review. We passed on the info to the hotel and hope that they correct it for future guests. Yet, personally speaking, I think I know what you're talking about: the shower system in France, with the little red button underneath the knob, is difficult to understand and has burned/froze me as well more than once! Here I was thinking I was the only one :)

Our group was staying in a different area of Puerto Rico, but had some activities in this area so decided to book a day use room so we could enjoy the beach but also shower and get ready for a night out. Royel Sonesta was the PERFECT location- we ended up spending the entire afternoon at the pool, swim up bar, & had lunch before getting ready for our night out in Old San Juan. The hotel was clean and the amenities were lovely. Would absolutely book here again!
