Heritage – The Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum is housed in a building almost two centuries old. A short distance to the north you can find Stonewall Jackson’s Headquarters, where guided tours will lead you through the house where the eponymous general worked in 1861-2.
Dinosaur Land – For those with children Dinosaur Land is a great little attraction. To the hotel’s south, this theme park displays more than 50 giant model dinosaurs and is a fantastic place to fire the imagination. And there’s a gift shop for souvenirs.
